ABOUT MAGNOLIA
My name is Reverend Magnolia Robinson.
Reverend Magnolia Robinson is a Protestant minister with a background in computer illustration from Rochester Institute of Technology. An award-winning artist and cancer survivor, she returned to faith after life challenges. She later earned her ministerial degree from Greater Works Bible School in 2019, becoming an ordained minister in 2020. She has served for over 15 years at Lighthouse Morning Star Ministries.
The photo of the Indiana Gazette newspaper article is from 2003. It tells about the award winning painting, and also my battle with severe health complications. I survived by the Grace of GOD. As of last November I am 25 years cancer-free and counting.
Life's trials of severe health problems coupled with toxic personal relationships. All the while trying to find meaning in an "empty" elitist Denomination church. Where the rich church elders had more control than the Pastor and most of them had minimal serious dedication to Jesus Christ. That experience showed me that empty ritual "worship"l, and trying
to fit into a that particular religious denomination was a big turn off for me.
So I quit attending any church for several years. But I never quit my faith in GOD. I watched podcasts and various preachers like RC Sproul, and Dennis Prager on YouTube. Looking to GOD was what kept me going as my life was falling apart trying to deal with a severe addict, and the resulting total financial devastation.
So when my next door neighbors invited me to their church I went gladly. They were non denominational a church community that felt like coming home that first day I went. I was a mess and didn't have 2 cents to rub together when I started, had to buy dress clothes from the secondhand shop, and a used vehicle. But I happily dove into regular church attendance; whether the troublesome husband liked it or not.
